NPHA Annual Conference
The statewide NPHA annual conference provides an opportunity for Nevada's public health professionals to gather together to discuss relevant public health issues, as well as a chance to network, meet, and stay connected with other professionals in Nevada. Continuing education credits are also available for several public health disciplines. The location of the NPHA annual conference alternates yearly between northern and southern Nevada, providing greater accessibility to participants.

2008
Who Will Keep the Public Healthy in Nevada? The 2008 conference was held October 2 & 3 in Las Vegas and was extremely well-received, featuring a star-studded faculty discussing hot public health topics such as the hepatitis C outbreak in Las Vegas, the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, urban sustainability, social marketing, public health accreditation, and many program and research updates from across the state.

A very special thanks to the planning committee for their hard work- it was a very exciting conference once again, and huge thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors, without whom the conference couldn't happen.

Last, but never least, a very big thanks to our conference planning team, the University of Nevada School of Medicine's Office of Continuing Medical Education, who continue to deliver a very professional, organized conference.

2007
The 2007 NPHA Conference was held on October 11 & 12 at Boomtown Conference Center in Reno, Nevada. This year's theme was "Faces of Public Health", in which we hosted 2007 APHA President, Deborah Klein Walker, EdD, as our keynote speaker.

The conference was a great success, featuring a diverse group of plenary, breakout, and poster session presenters from across the state.

Very special thanks to all of our sponsors, the planning committee, NPHA Executive Committee, and all presenters and participants.

Thanks to Amy Weiss for leading us all on a lovely afternoon walk!

Also a very special thanks to our fantastic conference organizing team, the University of Nevada School of Medicine's Office of Continuing Medical Education.
